Charles and Lillian Brown owned one of the largest hotels in all the Borscht Belt! You’d know it from the billboards on Route 17 with the caricature of Jerry Lewis claiming, “My favorite resort”. They even named their nightclub The Jerry Lewis Theater Club. It closed for the season on Nov 11, 1988. It would never reopen.
