Known for its famous roast pork on garlic bread and egg creams, Pop-Ins was an icon of the summer. Pop-Ins very much resembled an unremarkable coffee shop, but as with much else of life, appearances are deceiving. In reality, Pop-Ins was nothing less than a miracle. From Memorial Day through Labor Day the place was practically 24-7. The staff was mostly inexperienced, fresh-faced high school and college kids, a mix of locals and kids from surrounding bungalow colonies.
